The Lincoln Parish Library is sponsoring a can food drive for the Domestic Abuse Resistance Team. There will be a tub near the front door of the Library for anyone who wishes to donate to this worthy cause now through December 15th. The items may be dropped off within business hours, Monday-Thursday 9am-8pm, Friday and Saturday 9am-6pm, and Sunday 1-5 p.m. There is an immediate need at the shelter for canned goods and other non-perishable items. All items must be within usable date. D.A.R.T. is a non-profit organization whose mission is twofold: To protect, empower, and advocate for all victims, survivors, and their children in North Central Louisiana who are affected by domestic and dating violence. To offer and implement public education programs in regards to the far-reaching consequences of domestic and dating violence. For questions about this or other programs contact Kris Patrick, Teen Coordinator, at 318-513-5518 or e-mail at teens@mylpl.org
