The Northeast Delta Human Services Authority in partnership with the Ruston Chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness are conducting a Law Enforcement Mental Health Symposium for the public on the morning of May 2nd from 9 until 12:30 in Ruston at the Civic Center. The cost to attend varies, depending on the attendee’s role and whether they wish to pursue Continuing Education Units. Basic mental health consumer/client admission is $5.00; Community/student level admission is $15.00; Professional level admission is $25.00; Social work admission plus CEU’s is $30.00.  The agency manages the operation of community-based clinics and programs throughout the 12 parishes of northeast Louisiana that serve people with mental illnesses, addictive disorders and developmental disabilities. At the Symposium, they will discuss current collaborations in education, law enforcement, advocacy and legislation, just to name a few topics.
