Black Bear Golf Club invites golfers to enjoy a free day on the course on Saturday, March 3, beginning at 8 a.m.; the last available tee time will be 3 p.m. Advance reservations are strongly encouraged, either by calling the club at 318-878-2162 or online via the “Rates & Packages” webpage of Champions Bistro, located in the clubhouse, will be open and offering food and beverage selections. The restaurant’s menu can be viewed online. Participants are invited to make a weekend of it – stay next door at Black Bear Lodge or check out Poverty Point Reservoir State Park with fishing, a beach, and trails. Poverty Point World Heritage Site, a UNESCO site since 2014, is just moments away and offers an opportunity to learn about Native American culture centuries before European settlers arrived on the continent.
